BERLIN MEATBALLS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 3-4

1/4 cup bread crumbs

1  lb ground beef

1 pound ground pork

1 large egg

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

freshly grated nutmeg

2 tsp curry powder

1 tsp cumin

2 tbsp butter

1 large onion, sliced thinly into rings

 

 

 

 

 

 

Heat the butter in a heavy bottom skillet over medium low heat and fry the meatballs,turning once, for 5-7 minutes, or until browned all over and cooked through. Transfer to a warmed serving dish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Add the onion rings to the pan and fry until crispy and lightly browned. Then  put back  the meatballs  to the pan and stir for 1-2 more minutes. Sprinkle   some chopped parsley..Serve with mashed potato or homemade french fries.
