If you are planning on selling these..Shape the mixture into balls and after you coat them with syrup just use a barbecue stick. If any syrup is not available in your area just make your own..

1 box of mochiko
1 cup of coconut sweetened flakes
2 cups regular milk
oil for deep frying
karo syrup light or regular
Mix the sweet rice,milk and sweetened flakes togetger.Shape it any way you want and deep fry in hot oil.Set aside
Heat about 1 cup of the syrup in a pan for just 1 minute or in microwave for 1 minute then toss it just to coat the karioka. Its ready to eat.. Add ground cinnamon on top if you want.

no ..the syrup does not make the karioka soggy
