BAKED SMOKED HAM WITH PINEAPPLE JUICE
1 smoked cooked ham,weighing about 8 lb
slices of pineapple (optional)
1 cup dark brown sugar
cloves
3-4 cups pineapple juice
Heat the oven to 350° F
Score the ham in diamond pattern with a sharp knife.Insert the whole cloves into the scores you’ve made.Pour the pineapple juice over tham and refrigerate for about 4 hours or overnight turning once.Take the ham and pour the juice to a pan. Add the sugar and pineapple rings and and bring to a boil until its a little bit thick.Pour juice over ham and bake for about 45 to 1hour. Baste the ham with the pan juices every 10 minutes until the surface has a shiny glaze.
