This is very moist coffe cake recipe..So good it only lasted a day and son asked to make it again today.

2 cups flour,sifted

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

3/4 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1 stick unsalted butter,at room temperature

1 cup sugar

2 eggs,at room temperature

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/4 cup sour cream,at room temperature

2 tbsp melted unsalted butter

Butter and flour a 9-inch tube pan.

Sift the flour,baking soda,baking powder,and salt together and set aside.

In a small bowl mix cinnamon,brown sugar,and nuts. Set aside.

Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluppy. beat in the eggs and add the vanilla.

Fold in the flour mixture and sour cream alternately,ending with the flour. The batter will be thick.

Spread half the batter in the prepared pan.

Sprinkle on half the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Pour on the remaining batter and smooth it with a rubber spatula.

Cover with the remaining cinnamon mixture and dribble on the melted butter

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes,or until a tester inserted in the cake comes out clean. Cool the cake on a rack for 30 minutes. Run a knife around the edges to free the cake, invert it on a plate,then turn it right side up.
