CHICKEN TINOLA

!NGREDIENTS:

2 tbsp oil

1 chopped onion

1 inch piece ginger peeled and sliced

5 garlic cloves crushed

1 stewing chicken cut into pieces

2 tbsp patis or more to taste

papaya or chayote

sili leaves

In a large saucepan ..warm the oil add onion garlic ginger and saute until softened.

add the chicken pieces and patis and cook..stir until the chicken is well coated with oil and no longer pink about 3 mins.add about 5 cups of water and 1 cube of chicken bouillon and bring to boil..reduce the heat and simmer about 30 mins..add papaya when u think chicken is amost tender..stir in the sili leaves and season with more patis if needed..fresh sili leaves  taste so much better than the frozen one sempre .and good thing that i have some of them inmy backyard lol..
