BIKO-WARAY STYLE

 

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups tapol

3 14oz coconut milk

1 1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tsp anise

1/2 tsp salt

3 cups water

Rinse tapol, put in a saucepan and add about 3 cups water and cook until rice is tender about 30 minutes.

Boil 2 cans of coconut milk for about 20 minutes  then add brown sugar , crushed anise,and salt.

then add the rice and stir until thickened about 30 minutes

Line a baking pan with coconut leaves.spread evenly and broil for about 6 minutes .

Make latik for topping

Add it to  your biko..

Serve with coffee or hot chocolate
