Though typically salmon dishes are matched with cream sauce, salmon enjoys a wonderful harmony withh the chinese style sauce in this dish. By using this recipe you’ll find a whole new way of enjoying this popular dish.


4 pieces salmon fillets with skin

for garnish, cilantro sprigs

1/4 cup flour

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp vegetable oil


2 tbsp soy sauce

1  1/2 tbsp rice vinegar

1  1/2 tsp sugar

1  1/2 tsp sesame oil

2 sprigs green onion-finely chopped

1   1-inch knob ginger, finely minced

1 clove garlic,finely minced


1. In a bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients

2. Cut the salmon into bite size pieces and sprinkle with 1 tsp salt and let sit for 5 minutes. Remove any excess moisture from the fish by patting with paper towels. Lightly coat the fish with flour, shaking off excess flour.

3.Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Over medium heat, fry both side of the fish for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until the salmon skin becomes crispy.

4. Pour off excess oil from the frying pan. Add the sauce and fold the sauce over until the fish is evenly coated.

5. Serve, garnishing the dishes with the cilantro.
