1 pork hock-sliced
good pinch ofsalt
3-4 garlic cloves,peeled
1 tsp black ground pepper
1 tbsp five spice powder
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp fish sauce
4 cups stock
2 tbsp oyster sauce
few cloves
1 slice ginger
1/3 cup white vinegar
Heat the oil in a large pan and fry garlic,five spice powder until fragrant.season with sugar and fish sauce nd continue to fry for few more minutes.Add thw stock and oyster sauce,if using.Bring to the boil.add the pork hock and simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is tender or falls off the bone
Serve with white rice or fried plantain.
